Lay Minister this Sunday is Geerry.

I hope you are enjoying this August long weekend. Avoid the heat and stay safe.

Community Cupboard

Please consider sharing with those who need it. Non perishablefoods are best, but some in-season fruits are welcome at this time of year. Possibly a bottle of water would also be appreciated. (I observed a lady giving a couple of bottles of water to someone the other day. Not everyone has ready access to a water tap.)

Wednesday Morning Communion

St. Marks in Qualicum offers Communion every Wednesday between 11:30 and 12:00. The service is quiet and reflective. If you are interested in attending speak to others and see if there is a possibility of carpooling.

Grounds Cleanup and Building Maintenance

Can you offer a bit of time? Please connect with Nathan.

Music for Services

We thank all who participate each week to bring special music.  Music adds much to our services.

Tuesday Prayer Group

Were you aware that a group meets every Tuesday evening to pray? This group is open to any who want to meet for prayer. The group would like to let the church know that they will be taking some time off August 20th,27th and September 3rd.

Special Request:

The local NeighbourLink group is looking for someone to co-ordinate volunteers for the various schools that provide breakfast during the school year. If you are interested in taking on this very important task, please contact Geerry.

Just a reminder of the coming services of Communion

August 25th Rev. Susan Hermanson

Keep our church families in prayer.

Some are preparing to move, others are feeling ill and could use a prayer of support.

Please keep David Lord and his family in your prayers. Shirley died July 29th in the Nanaimo Hospital.  She had been a patient there for the past two weeks.

A suggestion:

If you know someone in our church community who does not receive the weekly announcements, consider picking up a copy for them.
