Lay Minister this Sunday is Geerry.
Worship Schedule
A revised Schedule is out for September for all involved in worship. Please check to see when it’s your turn. The Worship schedule can be found in the Menu "What's Happening?"
Also, just a reminder that Council is meeting Thursday, Aug 22 at 2:00pm. Agenda items should be submitted to Alison by Wednesday.
Grounds Cleanup and Building Maintenance
Have you noticed the clean-up in the Quadrangle? Nathan says,“a big thank you” to the person who cleaned that area. Many hands make light work.
Keeping our church clean: While Angela is recuperating, some have volunteered to help keep our space looking respectable. If you can spare some time to dust, vacuum or clean bathrooms, please talk to Julie.
Community Cupboard
This important project continues to be used by the community. Every little bit you can give is greatly appreciated!
Wednesday Morning Communion
While there is still the mid-week service at St. Mark’s in Qualicum, communion is not being served while Elizabeth Northcott is on holidays during August.
Music for Services
We thank all who participate each week to bring special music. Music adds much to our services. If you would like to add your talents or if you have a suggestion, please see David Cox.
Kitchen Workers
Please see Dannette or Alison if you could help on a Sunday, or if you have goodies to bring.
Tuesday Prayer Group
The Tuesday prayer group will resume on Tuesday September 10th, speak to Tom or Jennifer.
Special Request:
The local NeighbourLink group is looking for someone to co-ordinate volunteers for the various schools that provide breakfast during the school year. If you are interested in taking on this very important task, please contact Geerry.
Just a reminder of the coming services of Communion
Upcoming Dates
Keep our church families in prayer:
Please note that there will be a service of remembrance followed by a tea in memory of Pat Evans on September 7th from 1:00-3:00pm at Yates Funeral Home.
Some are preparing to move, others are feeling ill and could use a prayer of support. If you, or someone you know needs prayer, please let someone of the worship team know.
A suggestion:
If you know someone in our church community who does not receive the weekly announcements, consider picking up, or printing a copy for them.
Christmas is coming!
Dannette and Alison have begun to collect articles for a Christmas Market to be held in November. Go through your bounty of Christmas items that are in good repair and bring them to the church,
