The mission, if one chose to accept it, was to donate scarves, mitts, hats, gloves, toques, socks and anything else that would help someone to stay warm on these grey, chilly days and/or give cookies to some in our town who don't always feel all that loved or lovable.
The people of Trinity took the mission to heart. Their bags of stuff were left hanging on door knobs or on the front stoop of their homes. Masked members of the congregation drove around to pick the wanted stuff up and brought it to the church where it was sorted. Pastor Brenda then distributed the four huge bags over the next two days.
ACAWS and the Bread of Life Warming Centre were the recipients of the warm clothing acessories while Bridging the Gap was the recipient of most of the 50+ dozen cookies. All leaders were most grateful for these efforts.
Thank you. It is when we respond to the need around us that God's love is seen in action.
